Not sure what to make for dessert? With a tiered dessert stand, you can create a simple, yet intricate display with cookies, chocolates, candies and other treats – no cooking required. It’s a great idea for buffets, open houses, pot lucks, birthday parties, and other events where you’ll need to satisfy a crowd. Come up with a theme and have fun hunting for items that fit. One of our favorites is going old-school with Hostess snacks such as Ding Dongs, Twinkies, Snowballs, Cupcakes, HoHos and Suzy Q’s. It’s like being a kid again!
The trick to making it work is to plan ahead how you’ll arrange treats by texture or color in various formations to make it look interesting. It’s also best to go from smaller at the top down to larger sizes at the bottom. In about 10 minutes you’ll have a display people will admire for its creativity and thoughtfulness. Place it on a kids table to keep them busy or on a coffee bar as a nice accompaniment.
Some of our favorite tiered stands are made out of wood. A wood stand can look rustic, classic or modern, depending on the style but they all work well for displaying desserts.
Our favorite cookies for a dessert tower are crowd pleasers that are fun to arrange because of their fun designs and flavor.
