We’re so happy to introduce you to Momologie.
People always ask us about what we do, and there really is no simple answer because our business encompasses so much of the world of “lifestyle”.
So much has changed since founding MiGi over a decade ago, and our lives as the “MiGi Girls” sure have been full of excitement. When we met while working at Martha Stewart Living, we never could have imagined we’d be where we are now. At the time, the company was small, and growing in the media world. With that being said, we were fortunate to be involved in all areas of media, including designing product lines, developing stories for the magazine, producing segments for the television show, creating content for the internet and books, etc. It was a great place to learn, and we made the most of those busy years.
One day, we discovered we were both moving to Los Angeles, and started talking about our plans, only to find we had similar ideas about the next phase of our careers. We both grew up in households where there was a lot of passion, and entertaining and home life were a priority. We felt we could build a great business by taking what we’d learned, and letting our life moments guide us. Our lives have taken us in many directions (marriage, home, baby), and we are so proud of what we’ve done. The MiGi philosophy of embracing personal style in a way that’s comfortable and affordable has been incredibly successful.
Mostly, people say we’re realistic, and maybe that’s because we know how to present what we know works (at least for us and anyone who’ll be our guinea pig). We look for ideas that are fresh and approachable for everyday living. As moms to very young boys, our main rule is to remain flexible and available for our families. We’re the first to admit to having learned a lot from our missteps, and Momologie is a way for us to share what we’ve gathered along the way.
Every day, we rely on the advice of friends, neighbors and family, and spend as much time as any mom trying to find answers to our questions online. Yet, we haven’t found that one website that feels like a reliable best friend we go back to again and again. With Momologie, the goal is to provide a resource that speaks to moms across America every day. There is a ton of juggling that happens in a home, and we’re determined to make family life fun and guilt free for moms because we deserve to feel good about what we’re doing. In the end, a happy mom is a better mom, and every mom needs a best friend to lean on (even if it is a daily e-mail.)
